The “Power of Peace, Cost of War” March, Rally and Informational Workshops taking place 3.17.07

                                    12 noon – 1 p.m.    Lunch will be provided

AGENDA:                  Representatives of various groups involved in planning and executing March 17 event, including People’s Coalition, Interfaith Initiative of Santa Barbara County, Veterans for Peace, PUEBLO, Progressive Democrats of Santa Barbara, Trinity Episcopal Church, Santa Barbara Progressive Coalition and more.

WHY:              Seeking advance news stories in the Santa Barbara area press on the upcoming peace rally & march marking the fourth anniversary of the start of the war in Iraq.   Peace activists of all ages will unite in a march and will also attend break-out workshops after the march on Saturday March 17 to better mobilize the community into action.  Maps of the peace march route will be handed out at the meeting.   We hope you can include this in your newscasts.  Thank you very much.
